Wildfire, an animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera, aired on CBS from September 13, 1986 to September 6, 1987. The series follows the adventures of Sara, a 13-year-old girl growing up in the American West, as she discovers her true identity as a Princess in hiding.

A talking horse, Wildfire, summons Sara through her magic amulet, and transports her across dimensions to her real home in Dar-Shan. Sara joins with her friends, a sorcerer named Alvinar, a young boy named Dorin, and a cowardly colt named Brutus to battle her nemesis, the evil sorceress Diabolyn. Through her many adventures, Sara finds out what it is to be a true leader, learning responsibility, caring, and good judgment.

Wildfire was an intelligently written, well-produced show-- for whatever reason, it wasn't profitable, and only lasted thirteen episodes. Jump on your magic horse and remember the world of Dar-Shan with us!

July, 2004

Castlethorinia.net is still on hiatus. My husband and I were blessed with a baby daughter in the fall of 2003, and until I have more time, I don't think I'll be making more updates. I would still like to finish the episode transcriptions and character guide. You try typing episode dialogue with a baby crawling all over you and trying to pull all of the cat's fur out! ;)

Hoping this finds the lost citizens of Dar-Shan well and happy!
